Cyclohexanol
Cyclohexanol (C6H12O) is a secondary alcohol containing a hydroxyl group attached to a cyclohexane ring. It can be prepared from the hydration of cyclohexene (either with aqueous acid, oxymercuration, or hydroboration) and can be oxidized to cyclohexanone with a number of oxidizing agents (e.g. PCC).
